NanoTag Technology Pty Ltd
A NanoTag is a microscopic, metallic "tag" of between 0.3 and 1.0 millimeters (smaller than a grain of sand). Each batch of NanoTags has a unique six digit alphanumeric security identification code, allowing for over 2.6 billion unique batches. Each security identification code, brand image, name and/or specific identification code is indelibly etched into an optically variable (holographic) substrate of the NanoTag and assigned to a specific owner. The NanoTags are suspended in a UV sensitive, clear, proprietary security adhesive which is either brushed or sprayed onto any valuable item. The item's description, serial number, unique security identification code and rightful owner are then registered into NanoTag's secure and trusted global database, which is accessed by law enforcement agencies for rapid recovery.
Permanently marking any item with hundreds or thousands of virtually invisible NanoTags helps prevent theft and assist in the return of lost or stolen property. The microscopic size of NanoTags (0.3 to 1.0 millimeters depending on application) makes it impossible to find and remove ALL of the NanoTags on an item and its components.
