Research under this platform will include:
Create and evaluate new packaging formats, potentially with sensor technologies to indicate food quality e.g. freshness, quality, contamination;
Investigate parameters of food quality and stability relative to packaging and mixing of food items, especially where combination of food types e.g. vegetable with animal originating;
Develop novel packaging solutions with a focus on reducing food waste;
Create novel packaging solutions to deliver increased sustainability with respect to input resources.
