AIPIA events program for 2025 takes shape as June dates confirmed for World Congress | 05-02-2025 |
AIPIA, in conjunction with its partners AWA Alexander Watson Associates, as well as other organisations has confirmed its plans for events in the coming year. Chief among these is a new, earlier, date for the World Congress, which will take place once more in Amsterdam, on 23 and 24 June at the Steigenberger Hotel, close to the airport at Schiphol and well connected to the city.
“We have made the decision to move to an earlier date for the World Congress because feedback from both sponsors and delegates indicates that November is often a less convenient timeslot to participate or travel as it comes at the end of the year when many events and conferences have already taken up time in busy schedules. The better weather and avoiding holidays such as Thanksgiving are also factors,” explained AIPIA managing director Eef de Ferrante.
Corey M Reardon, President & CEO of AWA Alexander Watson Associates added, “We believe this is a very good move for the Congress and will have a positive impact on member participation and delegate numbers. It will also enable us to run events later in the year which align with our policy of co-locating with events such as the LabelExpo series..”
Accordingly the Smart Labelling Summit for 2025 will be staged to coincide with LabelExpo Europe which will be held in Barcelona, Spain for the first time in mid-September. This is the largest event in the calendar for all aspects of the labelling industry and there is a particular interest in the latest smart labelling innovations among attendees. Likewise discussions are underway with LabelExpo Asia to co-locate the AIPIA China Summit at the show. It is co-organised with AIPIA’s Chinese partners Prime Consulting and will take place in Shanghai at the beginning of December.
“This spreads out the AIPIA/AWA/Prime events during the year to the best possible effect, and greatest impact for participants, and gives sponsors and delegates the chance to take advantage of combining AIPIA’s platform with the other, highly relevant, events in these markets. It shows the Association continues to work on a global scale to deliver members a diverse range of opportunities in their target markets or regions,” commented de Ferrante.
In line with its continuing partnership with informa markets’ ProPak series in Asia the Association is also fielding speakers at ProPak Philippines in February and ProPak Vietnam in March and discussions continue about ProPak Asia in Thailand as well as the specialist pharmaceutical event CPHI SE Asia, which, this year takes place in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia. This year AIPIA is working closely with the Australian Institute of Packaging to deliver these programs.
