How can AI help address PFAS challenges?

IBM Research is developing new AI technology that can help organizations address packaging materials and chemicals of concern, such as around PFAS “forever chemicals”. Specifically, they are building an application that can process and analyze massive amounts of data – public and private (from clients, suppliers, manufacturers) and regulations, that accelerates your ability to identify, report on, and assess risks and then take mitigation actions such as finding safe substitutions. The initial focus is on PFAS, but the model is broadly trained to cover many other materials/chemicals of concern.

They are hosting an event in their Zurich Research lab on April 3 targeted at sustainability executives, researchers, and industry experts to help shape the future of AI-driven solutions for safer materials challenges such as PFAS. Please see the  invitation for more details. If interested and/or if you have questions, you can contact Phil Vogel at IBM Research at pwvogel@us.ibm.com
