AIPIA returns to ProPak Asia ‘24 and CPHI SE Asia in Bangkok with full seminar programs | 15-05-2024 |
Continuing its successful collaboration with informa markets in the APAC region, AIPIA is returning to ProPak Asia 2024 at BITEC (12-15 June) and CPHI SE Asia at the Queen Sirikit Centre (10-12 July), both in Bangkok, with a full seminar program for these fast evolving markets for Smart Packaging technologies.
At ProPak Asia the Association is running a full day of seminars on 13th June covering three specific topics: Smart Packaging Designs – Digitization, AI and AR; Food Security and Safety and Authentication – Farm to Fork; and Smart Supply Chains – Traceability, Serialization and Anti-Counterfeiting. At CPHI the Association will share the Innovation Stage with WPO, the World Packaging Organisation, as well as organising a display area of Smart Pharma Packs.
The seminars will feature several ‘first time’ speakers at this event, including Koenig & Bauer, Aire Global and Zenxtag (the first ever speaker from China’s rapidly expanding smart packaging component sector.) In addition SEE (formerly Sealed Air) and Antares Vision Group will bring their broad expertise in Asian markets on Food Safety and Supply Chain management to the relevant sessions. Also insights will be offered by representatives of Anna University and Aranca, both based in India which are deeply involved in the development of Smart Packaging its applications and its end uses. While major pharmaceutical brand Takeda will speak about Smart Opportunities in Pharmaceutical Packaging and Devices
In particular AIPIA is delighted to welcome Chakravarthi AVPS, a global ambassador for the WPO and a leading figure in the pharmaceutical packaging sector throughout the region, who will moderate a panel discussion at the end of the Smart Packaging Design session. He will also participate with the Association in CPHI SE Asia where he will offer useful insights into the latest innovations in the sector.
“Rather than one ‘all day’ session covering the innovations and developments across all sectors we have split the time into three, carefully focussed, sessions which appeal to specific delegate participation, but remain broad enough for even the casual delegate to find some useful takeaways,” explained Andrew Manly, communications director of AIPIA, who coordinates the events.
“We have run events at ProPak Asia for several years and watched the exhibition grow into a major regional show for the industry. It really stands with interpack, Pack Expo Chicago, Tokyo Pack and ProPak China as one of the ‘majors’ in my opinion. It is very well attended by a broad base of end users and industry professionals. So being there with a strong speaker line-up is essential,” he added.
At CPHI SE Asia the Association will continue the cooperation with WPO, with which it signed an MoU during 2023. This is a growing event within the well-established CPHI global series of shows.
“This is an opportunity for the organisations to work closely on a program to showcase the best of packaging for the pharmaceutical sector across a range of formats and to include sustainable and environmental elements as well as connectivity, traceability and compliance,” stated Manly.
“We have been asked to showcase six Smart Packaging for Pharmaceuticals examples in a showcase section at CPHI, l am still looking for suitable examples, so if there is anyone out there with a really clever pack or device please get in touch. They will be displayed alongside some of WPO WorldStar winning entries in the pharma category, so are sure to attract a lot of interest, ” he concluded.
