Antares Vision Group launches Diamind Connect platform with DPPs in mind | 17-02-2025 |

Antares Vision Group, a longstanding AIPIA member has extended its DIAMIND ecosystem of integrated and modular solutions with the addition of the Diamind Connect platform, which manages traceable data and production processes to guarantee end-to-end sustainability, comprehensive traceability and seamless customer engagement for brand owners in a variety of industries, it says. These include the food, beverage, cosmetics, textile and chemical sectors, with bespoke approaches for each segment.
The multinational company is headquartered in Italy and is a leading provider of Track & Trace systems which provide transparency of products and supply chains through integrated data management. It says the new platform facilitates the traceability of all supply chain information, starting with raw materials, continuing through each stage of transformation and processing, and concluding with the creation of a Unique Digital Identity (UDI) for each single sellable product unit.
These UDis can be associated with various identification media (QR Code, Datamatrix, NFC, RFID, etc.) enabling users to monitor the product throughout its supply chain journey helping to reduce counterfeiting risks and grey market diversion, as well as guaranteeing production process quality, transparency, and documenting efficiency and sustainability.
One of the prominent features of Diamind Connect is modularity – each software module can be adopted separately, independently or in combination, to optimally manage the production environment. Another benefit is scalability, which enables the platform to be used/connected to a plant at different levels, from a single machine, up to corporate level settings. The platform can be integrated with existing IT infrastructure, including a wide array of legacy systems.
The product UDI (data-carrier) can have different uses depending on the context: before product release, it can provide support to logistics or sampling; after purchase, it can provide information and interact with the end consumer; at the end of the lifecycle, it can help the package recycling process.
The platform already meets the requirements of the Digital Product Passport (DPP) says the company, as it provides each product with a unique identity, connected to one or more data sources. The DPP will contain information relating to the entire lifecycle of the product in question (origin, composition, etc.), which can be shared with all of the parties involved in the supply chain.
Thanks to the collection and availability of data (including sustainability metrics) throughout the supply chain, the platform helps to inform and enable circular economy goals by analyzing the environmental impact of a product during its supply chain journey (e.g. carbon footprint and water consumption). It therefore promotes end-to-end sustainability, transforming raw data into valuable customer information, says Antares.
The company highlights some of the bespoke elements for different sectors: For the cosmetics DIAMIND Connect provides detailed monitoring of raw materials, suppliers and environmental sustainability parameters, guaranteeing high safety standards and supporting compliance with regulatory standards; In the food & beverage sector it enables complete "farm to fork" supply chain traceability, validating information regarding nutritional values, ingredient origins and sustainable practices while improving customer engagement; for textiles it represents an essential enabler for the circular economy, tracing product lifecycles from production to recycling to promote a sustainable future for the fashion industry.
Gianluca Mazzantini, CEO of Antares Vision Group commented, "We are particularly proud of the launch of the Diamind Connect platform, which joins the current one for the life science sector, focused on the regulatory system and compliance with legislation in force."
"The platform meets the requirements of producers and consumers, becoming a tool to communicate the sustainability, safety and authenticity of the supply chain at all levels," adds Massimo Bonardi, CTO of Antares Vision Group. "It has been developed following the highest technological standards: a native architecture multi-tenant based on microservices, designed with cloud-first and cloud-agnostic to ensure maximum scalability and flexibility. The platform integrates advanced AI tools for intelligent processing and analysis of data. In 2025, the Diamind ecosystem will be further enhanced with new products to further align with market needs."
